Registration information

Registration opens at 08:30 in the Prospect Building at the University of Sunderland's Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St. Peters, Sunderland, SR6 0DD - on this map building 10 - http://www.sunderland.ac.uk/images/StPeters_map_2010.pdf . We will be holding some of the sessions in the Prospect Building so we can use the very large lecture theatres and we will be holding a couple of sessions in the David Goldman Informatics Centre (Building 13 on the map).

Catering for the Full Day

Thanks to our sponsors, NDC London, we will have a selection of breakfast rolls (bacon, sausage or vegetarian sausage) available along with tea and coffee during registration (08:30-09:15).

Amazing Sponsors!!!

Catering for an event the size of DDD North is the most challenging part of the event, ensuring we have enough food and drinks for the full day. Therefore please remember to thank our sponsors - Telerik, TechSmith, Red Gate, Tinamous, Scott Logic, 4 Projects, Twilio, Syncfusion and Aspose for being amazing and helping us to cover the costs of our catering bill! Without them you would have nothing to eat or drink!

Agenda Changes

We have had to make some slight agenda changes, tweaks to timings etc so please make sure you review the agenda and don't miss the sessions you'd like to see - "http://www.dddnorth.co.uk/schedule

Same Venue Different, Bigger Building

Thanks to the support of the University of Sunderland, we have been able to gain access to larger rooms at Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St. Peters which has enabled us to open more places to DDD North Attendees. We are now able to use the large lecture rooms in the David Goldman Informatics Centre but also the even bigger theatres in the Prospect Building which is also where we'll be holding registration, refreshments and our exhibitors area.

Free Car Parking!!

We are also very pleased to announce that there will be free parking in the University Car Parks (Highlighted with the red parking symbols on this map - - http://www.sunderland.ac.uk/images/StPeters_map_2010.pdf ) at the Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St. Peters for all attendees of DDD North! We will send out directions and locations for the car parks in our next email ahead of the event.

Lunchtime Grok Talks

We have a selection of Lunchtime grok talks which will be hosted in the Tom Cowie Lecture Theatre in the Prospect building (where registration and lunch is held) between 13:30 and 14:35 these will cover everything from awesome robots and voice messaging APIs to VMs and Architecture - yet more content in an already fantastic agenda!

Drinks Reception Poll

If you indicated (over 200 of you did!) that you would like to attend the drinks reception hosted by Make It Sunderland at the Sunderland Software Centre, could you please indicate on the following poll whether or not you would require transport from the University (It's about a fifteen to twenty minute walk or a five to ten minute drive from our venue at the University of Sunderland) - http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PLVWFB7

This drinks reception is being hosted so we can all enjoy a pint/soft drink together, eat some nibbles, chat about the day and see the wonderful facilities that we have for software companies at the Sunderland Software Centre. Please join us even if you can't stay for the geek dinner but would like to break up your journey and relax a little before making your way home after what we hope will be another fantastic DDD North!
